#fatfriday review / Kentish Bramley Apple Hot Cross Buns @ M&S
Hurrah for Easter and all the glorious naughty treats it brings along! I have already accidently managed to eat one of the Easter eggs that definitely was not for me, and am struggling to resist dipping into the supplies for the grown up Easter egg hunt my Ma has planned for Sunday. I’ve also reignited the hot cross bun flames of love, and have been enjoying my afternoons with one (or two) and a cuppa. Mmm hmm. Seeing as it is Good Friday, and it is the traditional day of warm hot cross bun consumption, I've picked some worthy of the occasion.
Naughty yummy treat: Kentish Bramley Apple Hot Cross Buns.
From: Marks and Spencer.
Price: £1.50 for 4.
Portion size: Just right.
Sickliness: None at all.
Moistness: So good.
Notes: Ooh M&S do some banging hot cross buns. They are mouth-wateringly moreish, *especially* toasted with butter. The sweet and tangy sultanas, apple and cinnamon work wonderfully together in the soft and doughy buns. These sticky darlings are definitely some of the tastiest hot cross buns I’ve gobbled up this year, I quite easily nearly inhaled the whole pack. Honestly, grab yourself some over the weekend and enjoy the yummiest squidgy mouthfuls of hot cross bun glory.
Happy Easter everyone, I hope you’re already having a wonderful #fatfriday feasting on Easter goodies.
