#fatfriday review / Cupcakes @ Georgetown Cupcake
I have *so* been looking forward to my first American #fatfriday! There’s nothing more comforting to make a new place feel like home than having a cuppa in my mug with a naughty yummy treat. Boston exploring has commenced, and in this heat, Georgetown Cupcake appeared like a mirage in a desert and I stumbled in for necessary fuel to stop myself from passing out. I scurried back to our apartment to the insane aircon, popped the kettle on and got ready to try my first stateside delight.
Naughty yummy treat: Milk Chocolate Birthday Cupcake.

Portion size: Just right.
Sickliness: Sweet but excellent.
Moistness: Spot on.
Notes: Honestly, this is possibly the best traditional style cupcake I have eaten. It is pure perfection and I cannot fault it in anyway. The milk chocolate buttercream icing is divine, and is piled high for extra gobbling. The vanilla cake is freshly baked perfectly, it’s moist and wonderful and uses real vanilla (Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla to be precise) so doesn’t have a trace of that terrible artificial stuff. It is as delicious as it is beautiful (all of the cupcakes in the store are flawlessly lined up), and I cannot wait to go back and try the Salted Caramel and Cookies & Creme.
I also bought the chap a Marble Brownie Fudge Cheesecake Cupcake (the one peeping behind in the picture), to which he mumbled something about how amazing it was in the 4 seconds it took for him to eat it.
